1. Service
Engrowth provides English vocabulary lookup, personal cards, and practice features. The service is provided as-is. We improve accuracy and reliability over time, but we do not guarantee that every definition is perfect in every context. Learning content is for educational reference.
2. Acceptable use
- Use the service only for lawful personal learning and education.
- Do not abuse the lookup API, attempt to compromise security, scrape unauthorized data, or upload illegal content.
- Only process images of reading material you have the right to use for OCR.
3. Accounts & cloud backup
- Accounts are optional and use Sign in with Apple.
- Cloud backups are encrypted on your device with your restore passphrase before upload. You are responsible for keeping that passphrase. Losing it may make the backup unrecoverable.
- You may delete your cloud account and cloud backups at any time using the steps in Account deletion.
4. Intellectual property
Rights in the app, brand, and system lexicon materials belong to Engrowth’s operator or the respective rights holders. You retain rights in your personal cards and imported materials (or the original rights holders do). You grant us the limited rights needed to provide lookup, backup, and technical support.
5. Disclaimer
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Engrowth is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of, or inability to use, the service.
